Though there were lots RSVPs, the turn up for the event was less than expected. We started the day by showing the recording of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3WACZzbKFRE\">kick-off event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5743\/21016450524_a6a842fb49_z.jpg?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Docker Global Hack #3\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/>The teams here worked on four different ideas, out of which two submitted to the Global Hack github page. The four ideas on which teams worked on are:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/docker\/global-hack-day-3\/tree\/master\/DockerBox_Bangalore\">DockerBox<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Alan Joseph (<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/docker\/global-hack-day-3\/blob\/master\/DockerBox_Bangalore\/github.com\/alanjoxa\">@alanjoxa<\/a>),\u00a0Fayiz Musthafa (<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/docker\/global-hack-day-3\/blob\/master\/DockerBox_Bangalore\/github.com\/fayizk1\">@fayizk1<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alan and Fayiz worked on PaaS idea, which can be used for setting up dev and qa environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/arcolife\/dockerComp\">dockercomp<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Archit Sharma (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/arcolife\">@arcolife<\/a>) &#8211; Local Hackathon Winner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Archit was winner of <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.neependra.net\/?p=1249\">Docker Global Hack Day #2<\/a> as well for the same project. He updated the same project in this <a href=\"https:\/\/arcolife.wordpress.com\/2015\/09\/21\/docker-global-hack-day-mania-dockercomp\/\">hackathon<\/a>. His project is about crowd source analysis by using distributed computing \u00a0through \u00a0Docker.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visualizing Docker Networking &#8211; Himanshu Roy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Himanshu was exploring the idea of visualizing multi-host Docker networking.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spreading and collating containers on <a href=\"http:\/\/gluster.org\/\">GlusterFS<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/opencontainers\/runc\">runC<\/a> -Mohamed Ashiq Liyazudeen,\u00a0Hari Gowtham<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By looking at runC demo in the kick-off video, we thought it would be good if we can run containers on GlusterFS and use it move containers around by saving and restoring the containers on shared volume.<\/p>\n<p>I did not work on specific idea but I was helping teams and other attendees with their questions. I also worked on my upcoming tutorial <a href=\"http:\/\/sched.co\/3xU5\">at Linux Con, Europe<\/a>\u00a0on Data and Networking management with containers.<\/p>\n<p>May be because of long weekend and other events we got less participation.
